Its warm, mild temperatures (with an annual average of 21º C) and low rainfall make it a pleasure to enjoy in any season.

The weather endows Murcia with a special feeling, a region full of life and colour.

A place where you will be able to enjoy over 300 days of sunshine a year which give the Region a spectacular and warm Mediterranean light.

Here you find two seas, Outstanding beaches of soft sand, clean water and dazzling sunsets.

The Costa Calida is the "Warm Coast"with a shoreline of over over 250 km and is shared by two seas: the Minor Sea (Mar Menor) and the Mediterranean. The landscape has wide plains broken with dramatic mountains and cliffs, delightful secluded beaches of fine sand. There are a number of lively seaports as well as quiet natural coves with crystal-clear waters.

Several areas are designated as protected Natural Reserves.

A particularly  interesting feature is La Manga, a strip of coastline that encloses and separates the 170 km2 Minor Sea lagoon from the Mediterranean. The Minor Sea´s warm waters are renowned for their health benefits and are a favourite with sailors.

At the north end of the Mar Menor you will find the San Pedro del Pinatar salt flats and the Calblanque Natural Park. You can frequently see large flocks of flamingos feed in the ponds.

Reservoirs, rivers and two natural parks make the Murcia Region a clean and highly appealing area for tourism.
